Make America Sane Again – for the sake of the free world.
Amotz Asa-El is Jerusalem Post‘s senior commentator, publisher, author and, if I read Mr.Asa-El’s credentials correctly, rather revisionist, conservative, if not reactionary. Asa-El is an erudite history scholar and has written bestsellers on Jewish-Israeli history (Amotz Asa-El’s website: www.MiddleIsrael.net).
I usually behave as most people do when selecting their sources of information and reading stuff, i.e., I read „my type of stuff“ .

Asa-El’s pieces wouldn’t normally make it onto my list. Yet, this comment on „Trump For President“ is not only worth reading. It is opinion which I wholeheartedly share. I support this piece of op-ed in the Jerusalem Post. Asa-El’s assessment of the Republicans‘ potential POTUS-candidate is even a plea and we naturally support it as such: Make America Sane again – MASA (instead of MAGA).
Mr.Asa-El profiles the former POTUS pretty much as most democrats in America and on this side of the Atlantic see this … person: „a wacko, crook, and proven agent of chaos“ … and certainly unfit for this office.
Asa-El: „It should all make yesteryear’s Republican icons, statesmen like Lincoln, Eisenhower, and Reagan, spin in their graves, but the current Republican Party’s 26 governors, 49 senators, and 222 congressional lawmakers have yet to get together and part ways with their leader.“
None of our business over here in this democratic „game reserve“ EU?

This not only concerns the United States of America. The re-instalment of this complete misfit would ripple throughout the world with destructive effects – in Europe (with Putin and his gang in Russia and beyond).
Instead of finally grasping the realization that we are all living in One World – and we have no other – we, the humans, would/should continue consuming resources as if there were no tomorrow … and everybody will revert to gobbling up resources without a flicker of consideration for the limits of our biosphere.
„Checks and Balances“ preventing the worst … from then on: no more than nominally … something for history books, unprecedented concentration of power according to the Brookings think tank. Trump’s a-thousand-page-To-Do-list has been drawn up by the ultra-conservative Heritage Foundation, … with fitting contributions from other conservative Republican think tanks and power groups.
The program has been drawn up for a Trump presidency (Trump Two) to prevent a repetition of Trump One where Trump meandered in the Oval Office without a plan other than reeling through his ego trips. This sounds even more dangerous, doesn’t it? We may be looking back to pre-2020 as the better period. Now Executive Autocracy has a plan.
Beware …!
Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook, director of German Council of Foreign Relationship, refers to an imminent „executive dictatorship“. Majority of America’s legislation (Congress) is already Trump-contaminated and the Senate threatens to become Republican majority at about the same time the next POTUS will be enthroned.
Hopefully, this is just dystopian …
